EMDR Intensive for Sexual Trauma in Lynnwood, WA & Online

Whether it happened last year or decades ago, you deserve to feel at home in your body again.

Gentle, honoring your nervous system EMDR intensives where you stay in control of the pace, the focus, and what you share. In person in Lynnwood or online from home anywhere in Washington and California.

You Stay in Control, Every Step of the Way

Healing that gives you back your power. In every session:

  • You decide what we focus on, and what we leave alone for now.

  • You never have to describe what happened in detail. EMDR can work without you telling the story out loud.

  • You can pause or stop at any time, for any reason, without explaining.

  • We go at your body's pace, with grounding and breaks built in.

  • You choose the setting. In my private Lynnwood office, or online from a space where you feel safe.

You May Be Living With...

  • Anxiety, panic, or shutdown in intimate or vulnerable situations

  • Disconnection or numbness from your body

  • Flashbacks, nightmares, or sudden panic triggered by a touch, smell, or sound

  • Difficulty with touch, sex, or physical closeness

  • Blaming yourself, or replaying what you "should have" done

  • Strong emotional reactions that feel “out of proportion”

  • Hypervigilance, startle response, or feeling constantly on edge

  • Shame, self-criticism, or feeling “damaged”

  • Difficulty trusting others or setting boundaries

  • Dissociation, spacing out, or losing time

  • Chronic tension, pain, or a sense that your body isn’t safe

Sexual trauma can stem from childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, coercion, boundary violations, or repeated experiences where your “no” wasn’t respected—even if no one ever named it as trauma.

What Healing From Sexual Trauma Can Look Like

✅ Feeling safer and more present in your body

✅ Reduced shame and self-blame

✅ More choice around intimacy, boundaries, and connection

✅ Your nervous system no longer reacting as if the trauma is still happening

✅ Being able to say yes, no, or maybe—with clarity and self-trust

✅ Reclaiming your body as yours

Who This Intensive Is For

This intensive is for adults of any gender who have experienced:

  • Childhood sexual abuse

  • Sexual assault or rape

  • Sexual abuse or coercion in a relationship or marriage

  • Abuse by a family member, coach, teacher, or religious or community leader

  • Unwanted touching, harassment, or exploitation

  • Experiences you're still not sure how to name

You don't have to call it "trauma" or "abuse" to be welcome here. If it still affects you, it matters.

How an EMDR Intensive Helps

In weekly therapy, opening a memory and then leaving at the 50-minute mark can feel destabilizing, especially with sexual trauma. An intensive gives us time to move slowly, process fully, and make sure you feel settled before you leave.

  • EMDR helps your brain reprocess the memories so they lose their charge, and beliefs like "It was my fault" or "I'm damaged" can shift toward "I survived" and "I'm whole."

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps us gently care for the parts of you that are still protecting you, like the part that goes numb or the part that blames you.

  • Somatic Experiencing helps you reconnect with your body at a pace that feels safe, so it can feel like yours again.

Why Work with Me?

Offering EMDR intensives has changed how I see healing. Again and again, I’ve watched clients leave an intensive no longer carrying their trauma with the same weight they’d carried for 10, 20, even 30 years. The memory is still there. It just doesn’t run their life anymore.

Everyone’s path is different, but seeing that kind of relief is why I do this work. I want more people to experience it.

When you work with me, you can expect:

  • 17 years of trauma experience. I’ve walked alongside clients through childhood trauma, CPTSD, sexual and medical trauma, and the quiet weight of shame.

  • An approach that reaches the body, not just the mind. I combine EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing, and attachment repair, so healing goes deeper than insight alone.

  • A pace that respects your nervous system. We go as deep as your body is ready for, never faster.

  • Care that honors your whole story. As a BIPOC, culturally responsive therapist, I make room for the personal, family, and cultural layers of what you carry.

  • A true partnership. You’re the expert on your life. We decide together what to focus on and how.

You’ve already taken a brave step by being here. Let’s take the next one together.

Questions About EMDR for Sexual Trauma

Do I have to tell you what happened? No. You can share as little or as much as you want. EMDR can help even when you don't describe the memory out loud. Some people only share a word or two to name what we're working on.

What if I don't remember everything clearly? That's very common, and it's okay. We work with what you do remember, including body sensations, feelings, and images. EMDR doesn't require a complete or clear memory.

It happened a long time ago. Can EMDR still help? Yes. EMDR can help with sexual trauma from childhood or many years ago, even if you've never told anyone.

I'm involved in a legal case. Is EMDR okay? Talk with your attorney or advocate before starting. EMDR can make memories feel less vivid, which may matter if you need to testify. I'm happy to discuss timing with you.

Can I do this online? Yes. Many survivors prefer working from home, where they feel safest. You'll need to be located in Washington or California during sessions.

Do you work with men and nonbinary survivors? Yes. Sexual trauma affects people of every gender, and everyone is welcome here.

Reaching out can feel like a big step. The consultation is free, takes 20 minutes, and you don't have to share any details. We'll simply talk about what you're hoping for and whether an intensive feels right.
